Lunar cycles have a huge impact on the fluids of our planet – a clear example of this is the tides. And the main component of the human body is water, so the moon affects not only the oceans but also humans.
Lunar Diet / Moon Diet
In today's modern times, we are not going to go into battle, but we can easily follow diets related to the lunar cycle. One of the most popular and well-known such diets is the Lunar Diet. Essentially, the lunar diet is periodic fasting, or in more modern terms, intermittent fasting.
There are two versions of the lunar diet – a lighter and easier one and a more difficult one. The first is a 24-hour fast, which begins at the hour of the lunar phase and ends after 24 hours. During these 24 hours, only liquids are allowed—water, tea, and, if you can't go that long without energy, freshly squeezed fruit or vegetable juices. You can sweeten them with a little honey.
The difficult option is a 72-hour fast, which begins 24 hours before the lunar phase and continues for 3 days. It is recommended to do this either on the new moon or the full moon and no more than once a month, or even once every 2-3 months.
One addition: After about a year of following the lunar diet, I will tell you that the above information about the duration is not really that accurate. You don't have to start the diet exactly at the hour of the lunar phase, you can start a few hours before that. As for duration, it is good to be at least 24 hours, but sometimes we don't manage that, but even 16-20 hours is still good. But anything over 24 hours is even better, for example 36 or 48 or whatever you can manage.
But if you want to maintain the results of the lunar diet, it is good to maintain a slight calorie deficit in the following days and weeks, otherwise you will quickly regain the weight you lost.
During the lunar diet, solid foods, coffee, cigarettes, and alcohol are prohibited!
