Last year, on our way back from Kamchia, we took a slight detour north of the main Varna–Sofia road to visit the Krushuna Waterfalls.

I have climbed Yavorovnik and Zab Peak before, but this time the idea was to climb Yavorovnik along the ridge between it and Kamenitsa Peak. Our starting point was the Begovitsa hut (Kamenitsa).

It was August 28—Michaela's birthday, who for several years on this date has been climbing Sinanitsa Peak, followed by a party at the Spano Pole shelter.

Skakavitsa hut is located in northwestern Rila above Sapareva Banya and Panichishte at the foot of Kabul Peak. Near the hut is the Riska Skakavitsa waterfall, the highest waterfall in Rila at 70 meters.

The Shegava River Canyon is located in the Konyavska Mountain near the confluence of the river with the Struma River near the village of Razhdavitsa.

The Fotinski Waterfalls are a beautiful, full-flowing cascade of three waterfalls located in the Western Rhodope Mountains. Each drop ranges between 7 and 17 meters in height.

Some friends from another adventure group have been camping every summer for years at the Shiroka Polyana Reservoir, nestled in the Western Rhodope Mountains between Batak and Dospat.

Mount Ipsario, standing at 1,204 meters, is the highest peak on Thassos island—and like many island summits, it offers stunning panoramic views.

Last year, we did a one-day cycling tour around the island of Thasos. This year, we decided to change things up and explore the island over three days.

On Saturday, May 31st, we rode through a very picturesque region of Southwestern Bulgaria – Razmetanitsa. These are the villages on the southern slopes of the Konyavska Mountain between Dupnitsa and Kyustendil.
