Near the village of Mechkul, in the foothills of the Pirin Mountains, lie the megalithic sanctuary of St. Mina and the Mechkul Waterfall – the highest waterfall in Pirin, with a height of 51 meters.
There are many waterfalls in the Belasitsa Mountain, with over 10 in the Bulgarian part of the mountain alone.
Skakavitsa hut is located in northwestern Rila above Sapareva Banya and Panichishte at the foot of Kabul Peak. Near the hut is the Riska Skakavitsa waterfall, the highest waterfall in Rila at 70 meters.
